Name: Laura Smith

Country: Worcestershire, UK

I started drawing and painting mid 2021 as an escape from my stressful job and attended an art class with Sarah Stokes.  I have no formal training (GCSE Art was my last attempt).  I have always loved animals and wildlife and these are always the images that I enjoy creating in watercolour, graphite or charcoal.

SUBJECT OF CHOICE:  Any wildlife subject,  also pet commissions.

MEDIUM OF CHOICE: Charcoal , watercolour or graphite

WHAT INSPIRES YOU?  Anything in the natural world.  I love nature.  Great photographs provide inspiration as well as other artists. I love exploring and trying new styles and mediums learning from others.

DO YOU HAVE ANY ARTISTIC AMBITIONS THAT YOU ARE WORKING TOWARDS? I would love to be more recognised for my work.  I would also like to use my work to help conservation/wildlife charities.
