Association of Animal Artists Spring Exhibition 2020 at Castle Park Arts Centre

We’re Open For Entries!

We are really excited to be ready to accept your entries for the highly anticipated spring exhibition and art competition for 2020! We have such a wealth of talent among our members, and can’t wait to see what beautiful pieces you submit this time around.

This year we are diving into the world of online entry forms! We hope this will make entering our exhibitions a much easier, and more environmentally friendly, process. Click the links below to see all the relevant information and submit your entry form now!

The deadline for entries is midnight 9th March 2020
(Exhibition Open to AAA Members Only)

2020 Art Competition
Our annual art competition will be once again held as part of the spring exhibition opening. This year the categories are as follows:

Best in Show
Runner Up
Highly Commended x 3
Visitors Choice
Children’s Choice
Chairpersons Choice
The Pollyanna Pickering Award

Dropping Off & Collecting Artwork
Organising both the dropping off and collection of your artwork is really important as you consider entering. At our winter exhibition, we had an unprecedented amount of members relying on committee members to ferry their work both to and from The Station – many at the last moment. While we always strive to make exhibiting with us accessible to all, we do ask that you pre-plan your arrangements so we can avoid the same situation this year.

As ever, we are more than happy to help buddy you up with nearby members who can help deliver and/or collect your artwork. To do so, please drop me an email (chair@associationofanimalartists.com) with your name, the contact details you’d like to pass on (e.g. email or phone) along with the first four letters/digits of your postcode so we can match suitable members together. Alternatively, you could organise this yourself by popping a post in our members facebook group.

We’re really excited to announce our charity partner for 2020:
ARK Exotic Animal Sanctuary!

At the AAA, our passion for animals transcends the surfaces we create art on; our members are all, in one way or another, acutely aware of the challenges our natural world faces and keen to make a difference. As such, every year we choose a charity to support through art sales as well as linking with their events and educational messages too. We had so many fantastic suggestions from our members; it is always a challenge choosing just one, but we are confident that we can really make a difference to this one!

ARK Exotic Animal Sanctuary is a superb venture based in Lincolnshire, home to everything from terrapins to lynx – the majority of whom have been rescued from the European pet trade. They do a stellar job of inspiring and educating the public with regard to responsible pet ownership and wildlife conservation, as well as supporting our native wildlife at their picturesque pond.
