I live in the beautiful Hudson River Valley of New York State, surrounded by nature and incredible scenic views. While growing up here I developed a love of art that is due in part to the influence of my middle and high school art teachers. I spent a semester studying art in a local community college before becoming pregnant with the first of my five daughters, and that was as far as I went in art school.
Through the years I painted with friends once a week while working full time, but it wasn’t until the Covid pandemic that I made the time to return to my passion of creating art in a more meaningful way, and I began to study with my mentor Andrew Lattimore. I paint a variety of subject matter, but have focused most of my attention on animals and pet portraits. I strive to capture the spirit of my subjects with others who understand the deep connection and love that we share with animals and nature. I create work primarily in pastel and oil.
