A working artist by age 24, I abandoned art at the age of 26 until the Covid 19 lockdown afforded me the space and time to reignite my life-long love affair with painting.  I was raised in Missouri, but my years living in Hawai’i inform my love of nature, color and people.  I am most inspired by the beauty and mystery of nature, especially animals, both wild and domestic. I'm captivated by the warmth, curiosity and generosity that is the core of the animal/human condition. I especially love the unexpected, in both nature and humanity, and aspire to create art that stirs the heart.  I work primarily in soft pastels.
