Lucy is a self-taught multi-media artist, heavily inspired by nature, wildlife and animals.

Born / raised and living in Yorkshire, she has always been surrounded by greenery. With frequent visits to the Yorkshire Dales, Lake District, Peak District and North York Moors, inspiration was all around.

Although a multimedia artist, she often uses her Italian glass dip pen to bring her artwork to life. The fine nib and weighted body allow for beautiful expressive line work and careful control of the ink flow. Paired with handmade cotton rag paper, these supplies are minimal but impactful and Lucy always drifts back to them.

Lucy has been a pet portrait artist for many years, she has only recently ventured into showcasing her artwork in a gallery setting, with her first large A1 inking of an Orangutan, titled 'The Final Branch'. Which is a showcase of a forlorn Orangutan perched on one final branch, reminding the viewer of the fragile vulnerability in which they live.

Lucy hopes to expand on 'The Final Branch' and create a whole exhibition of works to highlight extinction, beauty and the elegance of creatures around the world.
