My name is Susan Head, Sue. I have lived in Thanet,Kent for many years , but am originally from Whitstable, Kent. I now live with my partner George and our staffy, Ruby. I also lived in Spain for 9 years, where I taught English. I did commissions and had an exhibition while I was there too.

I have always drawn since I was young, taking after my dad who's an architect , and have obviously improved with age.

Aswell as drawing animals which I've always loved,I also draw people and even cartoons when asked.

Over the years I have done many commissions, or gifts as they were in the beginning. As I've progressed and word has spread locally, I've done more , mostly of animals, pets and also some babies and young children. 

I enjoy living near the sea with so many creative people nearby. My partner and I walk our staffy, Ruby to the beach frequently and it often puts me in the mood to draw.

I love drawing eyes , of any creature, not just animals, they are so expressive. 

I also love seeing people's reactions to my work ,it has been known to bring them to tears ! 

I mainly use an HB or B pencil, but if I feel the subject would benefit from colour, I use coloured pencils.

Art has always been a hobby ,but I've recently had to give up work during to a back problem. I would love to become professional one day. I draw for the pure joy of it .
