The Association of Animal Artists create art with a purpose, and every year we select an animal charity to support through exhibition sales and member events through the year. This year our chosen charity is the Bumblebee Conservation Trust. The BBCT was established due to serious concerns about the ‘plight of the bumblebee’. In the last 80 years our bumblebee populations have crashed. Two species have become nationally extinct and several others have declined dramatically. Bumblebees are familiar and much-loved insects that pollinate our crops and wildflowers, so people are rightly worried. The AAA are held an online auction to raise as much money as we could to help the BBCT.
The final amount that the auction raised for the BBCT was £866!!
Thank you to everyone that supported this event.
