We are so excited to introduce everyone to Jamie Lord, our 2026 AAA Artist of the Year Award winner!
Jamie was selected for this award in recognition of his outstanding artistic development and his dedication to supporting the animals that inspire his work.
Over the past few years, Jamie has continued to push the boundaries of his craft, mastering both Paper Patina and bronze sculpting. His talent and commitment have been recognised through achievements including our own Online Best in Show Award earlier this year, as well as DSWF and an inspiring partnership with Dartmoor Zoo.

Jamie’s biography
I am a British contemporary wildlife artist and sculptor known for my Paper Patina sculptures and wildlife bronzes. Working across paper, bronze, and layered patinas, I create sculptures inspired by close observation of animal behaviour and anatomy, seeking to capture more than physical likeness.
Through my work, I explore the individuality, presence, and mystery of wildlife, celebrating its beauty and fragility while inviting viewers to pause, look more closely, and experience a deeper sense of wonder and connection with the natural world.
I believe that fostering this connection is an important part of conservation, and I regularly support wildlife organisations through collaborative projects and fundraising initiatives.
