Becky is a self-taught wildlife and pet portrait artist living in Oxfordshire. She works primarily in colour pencils but loves all mediums and is still exploring varying styles of work. She is usually drawn to realism but will occasionally dabble in a loose watercolour or a slightly more expressive acrylic piece every now and then!
She has always had a huge love for animals and with every drawing she feels the use of light, realism, detail and colour are always at the forefront of her creative process to tried and capture the personality and essence of the animal as much as possible. As she continues to explore her way through her art journey, she strives to enhance her technique in achieving even more realistic results and continue to learn more about herself through each piece.
She also paints the themes used in Brush Party UK events across the country, so all elements of her art life vary in many ways!
Having being a successful pet portrait artist for the past seven years, she has only just started out her gallery art life very recently with the first few pieces being sold in a local gallery in Wantage, Oxfordshire just before Christmas 2023, followed by a group exhibition in London in Jan 2024 at The Holy Art Gallery. She also received an 'Honourable Mention Award' for the Art and Color 365 2023 competition. These opportunities have given her the confidence and motivation to continue to work on her own original artworks and create work that people love to hang on their walls.
