I am Keeley Katheryn Robinson the creator of Sausageface Art and Smiles.  I am currently a full-time disabled artist based in Llanfairfechan North Wales. My aim for Sausageface is to encourage others to have the confidence to be themselves, get creative and to never underestimate the power of art that simply makes you smile. I would describe my work as varied, brightly coloured, imaginative and joyous. I love to experiment with mixed media and texture to create pieces that capture both the beauty found in the everyday and my love of wildlife. I have always been drawn to animals, I share my studio with three budgies and I when I am not painting, I am hanging out with my three dogs. They say good things come in threes. Animals are very symbolic to me, and I use them in my work to not only convey the inner emotional turbulence of life but to also make the viewer think about why certain animals resonate with them at certain times. My paintings make me feel connected to my surroundings and I love nothing more when I am well enough to get out along the north Wales coastline and feel inspired by all the nature that exists around me. Due to struggles with chronic illness and mental health my art continues to teach me to be present and mindful. It enables me to escape from problematic symptoms and always lifts my mood. I would feel lost without it in my life. My art is my living diary, an intuitive process often with a sensation of glitter representing the magic and wonder we feel as a child.
