~ The most important part of painting a commission is recreating the emotional connection between owner and pet. Capturing their personality and love shining through. ~
Pam returned to art during the COVID-19 pandemic, having previously studied Art at both O’ and A’ levels at school. Her life has been dedicated to music, the arts, Connemara ponies, and cats. Her lifelong passion for cats has led her to rescue many into her family. Pam owns the family Connemara Stud which was established by her parents in 1971. She is a judge with the CPBS, BCPS and NPS (probationary panel).
Over time, Pam explored various mediums and has now chosen to work primarily with pastels and oils. She regularly updates her gallery with new captivating works of art and regularly enters competitions. In 2024 her works were placed or shortlisted 6 times.
~ My aim is to evoke a sense of clandestine intimacy, as if the viewer is discovering a moment not intended for public observation. Each stroke of colour conceals a whispered secret, inviting the viewer to discreetly witness something deeply personal, as though peering through a keyhole into a hidden world. ~
