I live in West Norfolk although I originally come from Kent. I have always been an animal lover, I grew up with lots of pets and I have loved drawing since I was a child. Despite this I did not consider art as a career until after working around 13 years in the hospitality trade. I decided in 2014 to complete a course at home with the London Art College and achieved a Diploma with distinction in pet portraiture, and then in 2016 I set up my business offering pet portraits and animal art, and although I still work full time, I have taken a step back out of management to increase my time spent at home drawing. The dream is to one day be in a position to go part time at work to spend even more time on my art.
I work with pastels on pastelmat paper in a realistic, traditional style, and am constantly inspired by the animals around me in this lovely rural part of the world we live in.
