My name is Lucy Webster and I currently live in the village of Barrowby in Lincolnshire.

I produce pet portrait commissions alongside wildlife pieces and work either in coloured pencil to achieve realistic portraits or watercolour and ink for a jazzier and more abstract finish. Whilst I took art and design at both GCSE and A-level, the majority of my coloured pencil work is self-taught, and I still work hard to improve my skills to provide the best possible results.

I am inspired by nature. I have always had a love of animals and have been very conscious about my impact on the environment which is now reflected in my business. After finishing my A-levels I went on to study a BSc degree in Wildlife Conservation at Nottingham Trent University, where I gained a wealth of knowledge and became particularly fascinated with animal behaviour and physiology. Having been fortunate enough to work with a range of different species, both wild and domesticated, I believe that every single individual creature has a unique character and this is what I try to portray in my work.

I hope to raise conservation awareness through both my art and my blog The Artistic Conservationist. I plan to collaborate with conservation organisations around the world to provide donations for projects focusing on species protection, mitigating human-wildlife conflict, conservation management and wildlife education. Over the next few years I hope to increase my wildlife portfolio and have my own eco-range of products in my online shop and maybe even get shortlisted in a competition!
